Nos. 1 & 2 Air Navigation Schools offered four-week courses in astronavigation and were the last step for Air Observers.

The RAF schools, Nos. 31, 32, and 33, provided the same training as Air Observer Schools.

Originally Navigation School No. 48 General Reconnaissance from St. Athan, Wales, which moved to Port Albert as No. 31 Air Navigation School in October 1940.

Ex RAF K9382. TOS 9 Dec 1941 at CC&F fitted with Blenheim turret. Converted to Mk. IT, with normal Bristol turret, on 7 July 1942 fitted by CC&F and transferred to No. 3 Training Command for No. 9 Bombing & Gunnery School, Mont-Joli Que. Collided with #R7443 5m SSW of Mont Joli, 19 June 1943; landed safely. Stored reserve 9 Apr 1945; struck off 17 June 1946 for War Assets Corporation [1179 hrs].
