First with No. 119 (BR) Squadron, RCAF Stations Yarmouth or Sidney, NS, coded "DM*T". Dropped 2 depth charges on submarine on 23 March 1942 in two separate runs, near 44-55N 55-56W. Tracked sub for over an hour, until forced to return due to low fuel. Recorded as "severely damaged", based on photos taken by crew. This was unit's third attack, and first confirmed damage. This appears to be earliest Eastern Air Command attack where damaged sub was photographed. Assigned to Western Air Command on 20 June 1942, for use with No. 147 (BR) Squadron, RCAF Station Sea Island, BC. Seen at Sea Island coded "SZ*K" on 11 July 1942. To Canadian Pacific Airlines at Vancouver for repairs, 1 September to 20 December 1942. to storage on 15 September 1943, noted as loaned to BCATP on that date. To No. 2 Air Command on 1 December 1944, still in storage. Pending disposal from 23 March 1945. Stored by No. 10 Repair Depot, where it was noted with 943:40 total time, 535:05 since overhaul.
