[Recorded as Frederick Rose Johnson]. 1918-05-29: Johnson was OK in FE2b, A-8950 (Pom Pom): tipped onto right wing by gust of wind on landing from practice flight. 1918-09-16: Johnson was missing in HP O/400, D-8302; on night of 16th-17th, along with crew Lt Robert Courtenay Pitman (Canadian) & 2Lt Frederick Howard Chainey (British). All were reported to be POWs. Johnson was repatriated 1918-12-24.
