1918-07-27: Judson was injured in Avro, B-3271; when he stunted low over a building and while diving, failed to pull out in time and crashed. He recovered but the war ended before he was well enough to return. 1922-06-29: an article in the San Bernardino newspaper records that on this date, Judson was committed by the court to a California State Hospital for treatment of his morphine addiction a result of his 1918 crash. It was also likely a factor in his death, 8 months later.
