His air-gunner, Sergeant Robert Alexander Campbell, (Canadian) was also OK. 1918-08-23: Franks was OK in DH-9, C-6315; making a forced landing at Osterville after being badly shot about during the bombing of Somain.. His air-gunner, 2Lt Samuel Perry Scott, (British) was also OK.
