1918-08-31: 2nd-Lieutenant, RAF. 1918-09-14: posted to 7Sqn., RAF 1918-09-28: Fletcher was missing in RE-8, C-2530; from a counter attack patrol. His pilot, 2Lt Henry Mathew Matthews (British) was also missing. Fletcher was wounded on the patrol and died of his wounds plus the effects of the crash, the next day. Mathews was shaken up by the crash, in Belgium, but survived.
