1917-10-02: Farquharson posted to 70Sqn, RFC. 1917-10-12: Farquarson was OK in Camel, B-3918; when he swerved, spun round and turned on his side on take off for an offensive patrol. 1917-10-20: Farquharson was missing in Camel, B-2370; last seen in combat over Menin-Columines road while on offensive patrol and bomb raid to Roulers. He was shot down and made a POW, repatriated 1919-01-02.
