1916-11-20: posted to 7Sqn, France 1916-12-21: Davis was missing in BE2d, 5782; when he was forced down near the 72nd Siege battery, East of Beaucourt while on a counter battery patrol. His observer, 2Lt MV Cotton, (British) (no forenames in record) was also missing. They were later reported to be POWs and later interned in Holland. Davis was repatriated 1918-11-27.
