1917-03-05: accepted as observer (prob) 1917-06-19: Chester badly bruised and injured eye in FE2d, A-6499; in a forced landing in a thunderstorm, but hit telegraph wires on approach and nosedived and caught fire and phosphorus bombs exploded on offensive patrol to Zonnebeke. His pilot, 2Lt C. Roland Alston (no forename, British) was shaken. 1918-02-00: 44 Wing, 1 Cadet Wing, Camp Borden, Acting Adjutant.
