Moore returned to England from Canada in November, 1914. He enlisted as an Aircraftsman 1st Class, (AM1). Within months he got his commission and RAeC cert. and on 1916-02-11 went to the front in France with 1Sqn, RFC. 1916-09-30: to be Flight Commander & Captain, 1Sqn, RFC. 1917-06-10: Moore died in Avro 504, B-1399; when it stalled at low altitude, and crashed at Lee-on-Solent Golf Links, Gosport, England.
