Barrett was an American citizen who came to Canada to enlist in the RFC in 1917. 1918-04-24: Barrett died in FK8 D-5024. He is presumed to have hit a tree in low mist and 4 bombs exploded; on patrol at Boigny. Barrett died, 2Lt Charles Albert Procter, British, observer-gunner, also died

2nd-Lieutenant Leland Kelly Wilson Barrett was exhumed and reburied.
