1916-10-01: to be Lieutenant 1919-10-23: Basrah Iraq, wounded in the leg in a DH.9 bomber, by a ground based machine gun. Anderson also served in the Russian intervention of 1919. He later worked as a commercial pilot and died in a crash at Gatwick Airport, London, on 15 September 1936.
