1916-10-06: Curtiss Flying School, Toronto,RAec Cert #1863. 1916-10-13: appointed RFC 2nd-Ltn 1916-03-28 completed RFC training at Castle Bromwich, England 1916-04-22: posted to France to 21 Sqn. Soon, Goulding began to realize that he was susceptible to altitude sickness. He submitted his resignation on 1916-09-21, and was officially "˜invalided and discharged' in October 1916.
