Though his death was not directly attributable to air training in Canada, I believe that he would not have died if not for the fact that air training was happening at Kingston, Ontario. Lawrence McGeein died while attempting a rescue of Acting Leading Airman G.D. Askew, Acting Leading Airman R.J. Rowley and Acting Leading Airman I.H.F. Martin whose boat had capsized in rough water on Lake Ontario.
Mr L. McGeein, A/L/A Rowley and A/L/A Askew died in this incident.
