1917-05-28: Osborn died in DH-5, B-366; when he flattened out from a long dive, banked too steeply, side-slipped and nosedived to the ground at Stockbridge, Hampshire, England. He was dead when aerodrome personnel arrived at the crash site. His body was repatriated to Canada for burial.
