1917-08-31: Flt. Cmdr. with 111 Sqn, Egypt, in hospital. 1918-07-04: embarked Alexandria for England on the ship HT Kaiser-i-Hind S.F. Wise, in 'Canadian Airmen of the First World War' notes that Steele died in March 1918 in Egypt. However, info from multiple web sites has him as a WWI survivor who died in 1958.
