By 1918 he was a Lieutenant in the Western Ontario Rgmt when he transferred to the RAF To be 2nd-Lieutenant, 1918-10-26 Attached to 102 Sqn as observer, on probation, 1918-01-03. Posted to 46 Sqn as Observer, 1918-10-30.
