Davies was interned after his aircraft came down in 1915-03-20 in Holland. After release to England, Davies was posted to Egypt, as the terms of release prevented him from fighting on the western front. He had good success in Egypt, being Mentioned In Dispatches on 916-09-25.Otherwise, his record in Egypt was not found, although a repatriation date was, so he was shot down a second time in Egypt, made a PoW and repatriated on 1919-01-19.
