Goodrich was an American citizen who enlisted in the CEF. He gained RAeC Cert. 1623 on 1915-08-20 and joined the RFC as a 2nd Lieutenant on 1915-09-10. Appointed Flight Commander and Captain, 1916-08-06, he was killed in action with No.60 Squadron, 1916-09-12. He was killed in a flying accident on 1916-09-12 in Morane N (A 166) when he stalled on a turn at 200 feet, and spun in during a weather test at Savy, France.
