Wood trained in England for the RFC first at 34RS at Netheravon, later at CFS, Upavon, and then at 40RS. He was posted to 24 Sqn in France in the early summer of 1916. Between July 1916 and January 1917 he accounted for five enemy aircraft. He was made a flight Commander before he returned to Home Establishment in March 1917. He was posted to 23 Wing at Lincoln and commanded No.61 TDS until the end of the war, promoted to Major in March 1918. Wood died in 1959 in Montreal.
