After his flying training Hoidge was posted to 56 Sqn, where he wracked up 27 of his 28 total victims between 1917-05-03 and 1917-10-29. He was returned to Home Establishment in early November, for a year off operations. He was posted in the Fall of 1918 to 1 Sqn where he scored his final victory on 1918-10-29. He died in 1963, demobilized 1920-04-01.
