Second highest scoring Canadian Ace of WWI with 60 victories. At age 15, Raymond Collishaw joined the Canadian Fisheries Protection Service where he worked his way up from Cabin Boy to First Officer over 7 years of service. He left to enlist in the RNAS in 1916. In 1919 Collishaw led 47 Sqn RAF with White Russian Forces against the Red Russians. The Nanaimo Airport Terminal Building was named in honour of World War 1 flying Ace Air Vice Marshall Raymond Collishaw in October of 1999.
