426 Thunderbird Squadron (On Wings of Fire) RAF Dishforth. Wellington III aircraft X 3699 OW-Q was damaged, first by flak and then by an enemy aircraft, during night operations over Kiel, Germany. After the failure of both engines, the pilot ditched the aircraft in the sea off Cromer, Norfolk, England
