1917-07-25: seconded to the RFC from the CASC. 1917-09-21: Woods missing in Bristol Fighter, A-7234, last seen between Wervicq and Menin going down apparently out of control on offensive patrol. Lt Woods missing/2Lt Thomas William McLean (Canadian) missing: The death of both men was accepted later that day.
