Listed as Royal Irish Rifles attached to the RAF.*L.S.* 1918-08-29: Ruxton was seriously injured when the engine failed on his Avro 504K in a climbing turn, near the ground, stalled and crashed. He died of his injuries. Sgt. D.W.R Knighton (British) the student pilot under instruction in the second seat was injured but recovered.
