1917-09-28: Noble died in Bristol Fighter A-7241. He engaged an enemy aircraft, was shot down, caught fire in the air and completely wrecked while on a photo recce. Both Noble and his pilot 2Lt Harry Francis Tomlin, (British) were killed.
