His brother was also in the RAF during the First World War. 1918-05-12: to the European Front with 103Sqn, by air. 1918-07-22: Houston was missing in DH-9, C-1213; last seen going down over the lines near Houpline on bombing raid. His air-gunner, Lt John Kingham Clarke, (British) was also missing. Both men were later accepted as dead.
