On list in the Book of Remebrance, but does not have a page. **S.L.** 1917-05-09: attached to 57Sqn, RFC. 1917-06-10: Godwin was OK in DH-4, A-2135; when his aircraft wrecked on landing from practice formation flight. His pilot, 2Lt Robert Wilmot Howard, Australian was also OK. 1917-08-21: Godwin was missing in DH-4, A-7555; from a bombing raid, last seen near Menin at 3,000 feet and under control. His pilot, Lt Walter Beamish Hutcheson, Canadian, was also missing. Both men were accepted as dead later that day.
