A French Douglas Dauntless A-24B aircraft crashed when taking off on a scheduled flight for inspection duties

Wing Comander Desloges was attached to the French Committee of National Liberation, he also had flown Hurricane aircraft in the Battle of Britain with 1 RCAF and 110 Squadrons. He had been shot down and badly burned in a crash landing on August 26, 1940.
