Killed while with the Multi National Force Observers at the Sinai Desert, Egypt, but belonged to 3 Wing Bagotville.

Chevalier and eight French peacekeepers were killed in an airplane crash in a remote area of the Sinai desert in Egypt. His body was returned to Canada for burial.
