Carter, an American came to Toronto to enlist in the RFC. 1918-03-01: Carter died in a JN4 at Leaside when it was in a mid-air collision with another JN4. piloted by 2Lt Ernest Edward Cecil Pickwood (Canadian) who was injured in the crash.
