"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. Pilot - W/O Bob Boorman RCAF Navigator F/S Bill Bryant RAF Flying through the Eiffel Tower."

139 Jamaica Sqn (Si Placet Necamus) RAF Horsham St Faith, Blenheim IV aircraft R 2791 XD-O shot down into the sea on an anti-shipping strike off Holland. It crashed, on fire, into the ship that had shot it down, the flakship Sperrbrecher 33 Silvia, which sank as a result of the damage and fire from the crash of R 2791into the North Sea, 5Km NW of Texel Island. Sgt GA Bye (RCAF), Sgt WG Thorneycroft (RAFVR) and Sgt SB Bransby (RAFVR) were killed and all commemorated on the Runnymede War Memorial (Hans Nauta www.rafcommands.com, aircrewremembered.com)

Bristol 142M Blenheim Mk.V, RAF (Serial No. DJ702).

The Bristol Blenheim is a British light bomber aircraft designed and built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company (Bristol) which was used extensively in the first two years and in some cases throughout the Second World War. The aircraft was developed as Type 142, a civil airliner, in response to a challenge from Lord Rothermere to produce the fastest commercial aircraft in Europe. The Type 142 first flew in April 1935, and the Air Ministry, impressed by its performance, ordered a modified design as the Type 142M for the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a bomber. Deliveries of the newly named Blenheim to RAF squadrons commenced on 10 March 1937. Wikipedia
