19 Operational Training Unit, RAF Kinloss. Whitley V aircraft T 4333 went down at sea north east of Aberdeenshire, Scotland during a night navigation training exercise, possibly due to a navigation error

Sergeant SG Batchen (RCAF), Sergeant JL Collins (RCAF), FS RF Stephens (RCAF), FS RLR Younger (RCAF) and Sergeant MS Dawe (RAFVR) were missing, presumed killed and have no known graves. They are all commemorated on the Runnymede War Memorial
