The Lockheed CP-140A Arcturus was a related variant of the CP-140 Aurora, used primarily for pilot training and coastal surface patrol missions.

Carried US registration N6563L for company tests and ferry flight to Canada. Delivered to IMP Group at Halifax for completion on 31 March 1992. Based at CFB Greenwood, NS December 1992, still there in 1993, and April 1995. Reported in use as instructional airframe at Greenwood in November 2004, still there in July 2005. Still an instructional airframe in October 2007, with 404 (MP&T) Squadron at Greenwood. Still in use as an instructional airframe when CP-140A fleet was retired in late 2010 [SOS date shown as 2016 in Kestrel Publications]. Still with 14 Wing in October 2007. To UK in July 2008, for Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford. On display at air show at CFB Trenton in July 2009. Withdrawn from service 31 December 2010. Still with 14 Wing at Greenwood in May 2005. Visited Hamilton, Ontario on 31 March 2007, performed several fly bys on departure. Seen at RAF Kinloss, UK in September 2007. Still with 14 Wing in October 2007. Took part in Canadian International Air Show at Toronto in September 2010. Flew last operational CP-140A mission on 15 December 2010, from CFB Greenwood. Withdrawn from service 31 December 2010. Stored at AMARG, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ by February 2011.
