1918-07-09: Flynn was OK in RE-8, C-2491; blown over by wind after landing from artillery patrol. His observer 2Lt Harold Copeland Grimes, (British) was also OK. 1918-10-22: Flynn was badly shaken in RE-8, E-50; when he stalled and spun from 150 feet in a forced landing due to engine failure on a low recce. His observer, 2Lt Howard John Andrews, (British) was badly shaken. Flynn took no further part in the war.
