Manzer's service record has not yet been digitized by the National Archives in the UK. Enlistment date and location and service number are therefore not available at present. Manzer served with 84 Sqn during the Spring and Summer of 1918. In those 5 months he accounted for 11 enemy aircraft. He took command of 'C' Flight on August 6, and two days later was shot down by ground fire during a ground strafing attack.
