1918-07-26: McAdam died on this date in England. He had enlisted in the RFC under the name 'George Ruple Wallace', i.e. without his actual surname. This has now been corrected in the record. He died in DH-6, B-3042; when it stalled at 200 feet, nose-dived into the ground and caught fire. His student pilot, Boy Percival Frederick Roberts (age 17) was also killed in the crash.
