"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. The CC-130H Hercules is primarily used for search and rescue operations. While it also carries out transport missions, its main focus is saving lives through the Canadian Armed Forces' search and rescue mandate. It has a range of more than 7,200 kilometres and can transport approximately 80 passengers, operate on short unpaved runways and fly in severe weather conditions. These capabilities make the CC-130H an excellent aircraft for search and rescue operations over the vast span of Canada's central and northern regions. RCAF Web Page

Hercules C-130E-LM 10309

Ex USAF 64-17628. With 436 (T) Squadron, RCAF Station Uplands, Ontario when it crashed on 28 April 1967. Came down at night, 1.6 miles from Trenton, due to trim failure on takeoff. 6 fatalities, including Flight Lieutenant R.F. Garber, Sgt. V. Adrianus, Flight Sergeant H.F. Jones, and Flight Lieutenant D.J. Buchner. Also reported as operated by No. 4 (T) Operational Training Unit at Trenton at time of crash.
Struck off, after crashing on 28 April 1967.
