RAF Ferry Command, Dorval, Quebec. Hudson III aircraft V 9125 lost without a trace during a ferry flight over the North Atlantic from Gander Newfoundland to the Prestwick, Scotland, presumed due to icing conditions

Wireless Operator, Flight Sergeant FF Garrity DFM (RAF)(Can), Pilot, Flight Lieutenant JL Mitchell (RCAF)(USA) and Navigator, Flying Officer KPS O'Donnell (RAFVR)(Aus) were all missing, presumed killed in this flying accident

The missing have no known grave. Garrity is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial in the UK. Mitchell and O'Donnell are commemorated on the Ottawa Memorial, Ottawa, Canada
