428 Ghost Squadron RCAF (Usque ad finem) RAF Dalton. Wellington III aircraft DF 635 NA-I was struck by heavy flak units 8/Schwere Flak Abteilung 133 and 1-4/Schwere Flak Abteilung 407 over target area during an operation against targets in Duisburg, Germany. Some sources also state that a night fighter shot this aircraft down but no claims have been found to date. The bomber crashed at Heerdt near Dusseldorf with the entire crew surviving to be taken as Prisoners of War
