The crews were over the target at between 18,000 and 20,000 feet, releasing 562,000 lbs of high explosives.According to reports, bombing was scattered with little damage. 405 City of Vancouver Squadron (Ducimus), Pathfinder Force. Lancaster aircraft ND 912 failed to return from a night attack against Politz, Germany. F/Os H.B. McIntyre, L.H. Mahler, M.J. Martin, P/Os T.A. Stone, A.M. Fostey, A.L.J St.Pierre, and FS A.E.S. Kiff were all killed.
